Overview/Background:

Dr Salmin Aseri is a consultant in pain medicine and anaesthesia and Clinical Lead for Acute Pain Services at St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

He has obtained CCT in Anaesthetics in August 2015 and completed advanced pain training at one of the well renowned tertiary pain centres, The Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Liverpool and obtained a Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FFPMRCA).

He is committed to excellence in clinical care through a collaborative approach for patients suffering from chronic pain. He is highly experienced in assisting patients with chronic pain management from numerous areas of the body, be it chronic back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, pelvic pain, sciatica, chronic joint pain such as hip pain, knee pain, ankle pain, shoulder pain, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow (from before and/or after joint replacement surgery) or fibromyalgia (chronic widespread pain), whiplash injury.

Dr Aseri provides holistic approach to patients with chronic pain by blending advanced medical knowledge and modern treatment options with truly individualised care. He is committed to excellence in clinical care through a collaborative approach for patients suffering from chronic pain. He enjoys working with a multidisciplinary team, including orthopaedics, neuro-surgeons, GP’s, physiotherapist and psychologists. His team embraces an integrative model of patient-centric care and focuses on a holistic approach to pain management, encouraging healthy lifestyle changes and promoting overall well-being.
