COVID-19 PALS ADVICE 

Due to COVID-19 the PALS team are not currently offering a face to face service, but are available to respond to both telephone and email queries. This service is available from 8.00am- 5.30pm Monday to Friday.

Our telephones are very busy at the moment, if you cannot get through by telephone please leave a message on the answerphone and a member of the PALS team will contact you as soon as possible.

The PALS team are here to:

• Advise and support patients and their carers

• Respond to any concerns if patients are unhappy with any aspect of their care

• Listen to suggestions for improving our services for patients and visitors

• Pass on compliments to staff if patients are pleased with any aspect of their care


PALS are located on Level 1, close to the main reception at Whiston Hospital and are open Monday to Friday: 8.00am – 5.30pm

Patients are eligible for free NHS treatment at St Helens and Knowsley Teaching hospitals NHS Trust if they are: Ordinarily resident in the UK or: Overseas visitors, but entitled to free NHS services under the National Health Service (Charges to Overseas Visitors) Regulations
