​​​Our modern purpose build services provide care for children and young people from birth to 16 (but sometimes 18 years) with acute and long term conditions, as well as those who undergo general surgery.  Our aim is to ensure that all babies, children, young people, and their families receive responsive high quality care in a safe environment from our highly trained, professional and caring medical  and nursing staff.

The team of consultant paediatricians, clinical nurse specialists, registered children's nurses, play specialists and all paediatric staff work closely with the anaesthetic team, emergency department, child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS), obstetric, midwifery and surgical colleagues and the entire multi-professional team to ensure children, young people and their families can access the best possible general paediatric and neonatal care.
