St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust takes the confidentiality and security of our patients information very seriously.

 

The Trust has a host of measures, policies and procedures in place to ensure that the Trust complies with all relevant privacy legislation, e.g. Data Protection Act 1998, Access to Health Records Act 1990, Health and Social Care Act 2012, and the Common Law Duty of Confidentiality.

 

In order to help us continually improve the way the Trust manages patient information we very much value the feedback which patients provide regarding how they feel their information has been managed whilst visiting  the Trust. Patients are eligible for free NHS treatment at St Helens and Knowsley Teaching hospitals NHS Trust if they are: Ordinarily resident in the UK or: Overseas visitors, but entitled to free NHS services under the National Health Service (Charges to Overseas Visitors) Regulations
